Woodturning Demonstrations

I am available to book for demonstrations at AWGB affiliated wood turning clubs within my local area

I’m based in Ipswich and will travel within the local area for weekday and weekend demonstrations.

Within the demonstration I make an apple and an pear.

Techniques involve:

  • Turning between centres
  • Jam chucks – making, tips and techniques
  • Stalks
  • You’ll have to wait for the rest

Birds

Depending on time available, I can make a Robin, Penguin and maybe an owl.

These demos have small parts so would benefit from a camera and big screen.

Techniques involved: 

  • Turning between centres
  • Offset turning and sanding
  • holding and turning small pieces.
  • Importance of wood selection

By arrangement, this can involve:

  • A selection of Christmas trees
  • Snow people

Depending on time available, I can make a gonk!  

As airbrushing, colour layering and laquring involved, there are are elements or ‘here’s one I made earlier to complete the item.  

This is a longer demonstration but can be tailored to he time available
